July 8 -15 we welcomed 47 young adults and their leaders to the Chicago area. They came from Michigan, New York, Ontario and South Dakota. For a week, they served in communities throughout the southwest suburbs and downtown Chicago. Some of the service locations included:
- Elim Christian Services
- Forest Preserve District of Cook County
- Camp Manitoqua & Retreat Center
- Calvary Academy
- Bethshan Association
- Restoration Ministries, Inc.
- Homeless folks in Downtown Chicago
- Home repair for a couple church members
It wasn't all work though. Wednesday everyone went downtown and explored the Loop. Dinner was at Connies Pizza on Archer Avenue. Also, each evening included some great inspiration from Aaron Baart.
We're excited to announce that the Palos Heights Serve 2017 host team has committed to a Palos Heights Serve 2018!
