Brandon is stepping down from being the head counselor this year (he will be staying on as a counselor) and we would like to welcome Dirk Aardsma as the head counselor for cadets this coming year. Note that Cadets will also be extended to boys in grades 2nd to 8th grade this year. They will continue to meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. Walk Out Worship (WOW) Updates: WOW is for preschool-aged children (three to five-years-old) that meets during the worship service. The children worship in the sanctuary with their parents until they go up front for a children's message and prayer. After the prayer, they are excused to head to their classroom for a Bible story and craft. WOW will be taking a break this summer and will not be meeting from June 7 - September 6. They will begin meeting on September 13 once again. WOW age children can head to the nursery during the worship service for the summer if needed.

Volunteers can assist in the morning or afternoon shifts, or for the full event. Volunteers must be 13 yrs old and up and this can count towards service hours for school. Hosted in partnership with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Chicago Christian High School, is a four-week summer league designed to provide a fun, competitive, and Christ-centered athletic experience for student-athletes. This coed league is open to both boys and girls entering grades 3rd–9th for the 2026–27 school year and will feature three divisions: 3rd–4th grade, 5th–6th grade, and 7th–9th grade. Taking place on June 19 & 26 and July 10 & 17 from 6:30–8:30 PM at the Chicago Christian High School football field in Palos Heights, the league focuses on skill development, teamwork, and character growth. Each evening will include organized games, practice, and FCA Huddle time sharing the gospel for both athletes and parents, creating an environment where athletes can grow both on and off the field.
